Our Trips Our one-day guided fishing trips typically run between four and six hours. We try to leave very early in the morning to take advantage of ocean conditions and maximize our time on the water. In order to give everyone plenty of individual attention we limit our trips to three people per guide. Fees: One Person local trip $190-220 Two people, local trip $300 - 350
Prices vary according to how much SCKF equipment our clients need to use and where the trips take place. Essentially the price will increase with distance from the Santa Cruz Harbor to account for time and fuel costs.
Clients are welcome to bring their own kayak, rods and any tackle they may want to use, but we can provide everything needed besides a fishing license. (Kayaks, paddles, *wetsuits*, rods, reels, pfds, etc)
We provide all bait and terminal tackle. We use Ocean Kayak Prowlers, quality Lendell or Carlisle paddles, and Extrasport Personal Flotation Devices.
We can fish every area from Big Sur to Fort Ross, and the San Francisco Bay (including San Pablo Bay) We also have non-local trips that we can help arrange- just drop us a note if you are looking to plan that dream trip to Baja or Alaska! Learn the tips, techniques, and launch spots for stiper, salmon, rockfish or halibut. We start with short discussion on rigging, technique and strategy for our species and our launch spot. We'll talk about how to analyze the bottom structure from the shore, and using a fishfinder, and the basic techniques we will use. Next, we will head out on the water. On water you'll receive instruction and personal help on dialing in that technique, including trolling, mooching, drifting, and landing that prize fish! |
